Mug cake

Recently I have been really into making "mug cakes" - small and delicious cakes being made in a mug with microwave oven (I love microwave oven and use it everyday, just so you know).

Beside being small, serving-sized, these cakes could be done in 2-5 minutes. Amazing right? ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

So this is today's attempt - a mug coffee cake! ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

I found the recipe here: http://prudentbaby.com/2011/10/entertaining-food/a-cup-of-coffee-cake-in-under-five-minutes-2/. We ran out of brown sugar so I replaced it with icing sugar - which mean the crumb topping would be not crumb enough. However, being deceived by my tired eyes after pulling an all-nighter, I put in 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder instead of 1 teaspoon.... so yeah it turned out all good IMO (; ̄O ̄)

This is really really good, not too sweet with a slight flavour of sour cream and rich cinnamon scent, which goes with a cup of home-made latte perfectly.

I will probably try this recipe soon http://www.instructables.com/id/5-minute-Chocolate-Cake/, but we don't have chocolate powder and chocochips at home so.... shopping time!!

( ゚ー゚)♡♡

@MelaiChan You are welcome ^^ I'm glad you enjoy it. And yep, a microwave oven is indeed extremely useful. We use it everyday for to warm food and cook chicken/fish/veggie without frying with oil which is no good for health :D
